Balanced-brained

Mirna, you are Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

New GreenLight HPS in Singapore

I was in Singapore on March 14-16, 2007 to replace Susan while she was replacing me at Integra training in Cheng Du, China.
This mix-up was because of my new staff, who were not willing to go to the training, causing me headache!

Back to my story:
Singapore office has sold a new machine, it’s called GreenLight HPS for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). Those males who are above 50 years old have the chance to get it.
This machine is the latest technology for prostate.
I hope Susan can close her two projects.

So Cay, my Singaporean colleague who sold it, arranged trainings for nurses and urology surgeons on March 14 and 15. And on March 16, we had two live cases.
The trainer was from Australia, Mr. Peter Robertson, he gave us training too at the office. Then for live surgery, Dr. Henry Woo from Australia showed the surgeons how to do the procedures.

For me, it was a new thing to learn because I usually handles neurosurgical equipments. I was excited to learn this. Especially to see the new system…Hmmm, we’re gonna have it soon in Indonesia!

It was so amazing watching the live case. That’s the advantage. In the class you only see videos and learn theories. On the field, you see everything happens.

Photos will be coming soon. I’m still waiting for Alicia, my Malaysian colleague, to send me her photos.

    I hate phone calls

For the last 4 days, I really hate phone calls!

I’m sick, I shiver when I’m in cold weather, my head spins, and the worst is my throat sores!
It hurts when I speak, I almost lost my voice.

I wish I can be in silence and don’t have to speak for a moment.

Yesterday was the worst. I spoke with my uncle on the phone, it was only for 15 minutes, but my breathing was very heavy. It was like the condition after you run or jog. I couldn’t catch up my breathe.
Weakly, I sat on my couch, called office and told Selvi that I wasn’t able to work today.
I called my sister, asked me to pick me up.

As always, there was always work to be done. Sofi, my sister, drove me to office, and I worked for 2 hours.
