I have had a plan to buy some fabrics later when I have a spare time. I need to buy fabrics because most of my work clothes aren’t comfortable anymore.
Well, the reasons are:
1. I gained more weight, so clothes don’t fit anymore.
2. I need to change the model, choose more lively and colorfull clothes. Some of my clothes are already worn out.
3. I cannot buy finished clothes because it’s hard to find my size and usually it doesn’t fit well and nice on my body.
And today, I had a chance to do it. I went with Ms. Revi and Mrs . Ibrahim to D’Best Fatmawati Complex. Actually, We were waiting for our meeting appointment with somebody important at Ministry of Health and we have lots of time to be killed. Oops, I shouldn’t disclose this info, because this means I did personal stuffs during office hour.
We went to 3-4 stores. There were a lot of choices: many patterns, colors, textures, laces, etc. I was in heaven of fabrics…I couldn’t resist it! Stacks and piles of beautiful and pretty fabrics were everywhere. Somebody, please stop me!
Although I’m in the middle of cutting my expenses, cost, and all, I still had the urge to buy those pretty things.
But, thank God, I still had some rational. There’s always a limit for my wallet and credit card. So, I have set up my priority before. I need trousers, blouses, and blazers. And then think of the maximum price I am able and willing to spend.
I thought, shopping in one store would be enough. But, no……It wasn’t. Each visit to the store next door, tempted me more and more. I found different colors/patterns for different blouse for different occassion. Ms. Revi and Mrs. Ibrahim are tough bargainer. They each bought one brocade in the first store, and each cost as same amount as my total purchase there.
After the second store, we decided to have a lunch. But when we walked to D’Best Plaza, Mrs. Ibrahim attracted by one the signs in other store. I ended up buying three sets of Sari (for me, my sis, and my mom).
What exactly I have bought? (See the last picture)
A. First store, Pesona Textile
a. Dark blue fabric for trouser,
b. White fabric for trouser, I have never had white trouser before, because it can look dirty so fast,
c. Black fabric for long dress,
d. Pink stripes for bat blouse,
e. Fuchsia fabric for short-length blazer,
f. Blue flower pattern for blouse.
B. Second store, Go’ssip Textile
a. White, brown, and black stripes for blouse,
b. Peach diagonal stripes for blouse,
c. Light green with flower stripes for blouse.
C. Third store, Maestro
Sari, consist of long scarf, fabrics for top and bottom
a. Purple rose pattern for me,
b. Baby blue rose for my sister,
c. Light peach flower pattern for my mom.
Imagine, this is only for buying the fabrics. And I should taylor them to make a blouse or trousers. Means: more money needed to spend.
These last two weeks really makes us worry. Us means my company, included me. The weakening of IDR to USD or Euro or other currency keeps going on. When will it stop and strengthen and stabilize again?
We have on-going orders from hospitals and most of them aren’t ordered yet to our principal.
My project in Makassar: the contract is being sent back and forth for signing, up to now with the weakenings, I need to cover the loss of currency difference from my margin.
Gosh….Mr. President, Mr. Ministers, what will you do??
Finally…..After counting the days, since August 8, 2005, my sister-Sofi delivered her baby today at 3.15 AM. We’ve been so anxious since yesterday because her water broke at 4.30 AM , she and her husband went to the hospital at 7.10 AM.
Untill 1.00 PM, she only had the first opening, second opening came at around 4.30 PM. Sofi was in pain. I was there and saw her. God……It needed some struggling and a lot of breathing control. Sometimes the pain appeared and sometime it stopped. My parents and I decided to go home as the baby will probably will be born the next day.
At 09.45 PM, Sofi had fourth opening. The process was very slow and the pain kept increasing. At 2.45 AM the next day, doctor decided Sofi to have caesarian surgery. Sofi couldn’t bear anymore.
Voila……It’s a baby girl, as predicted. Chubby and pretty. Named Siti Syahira Achmad, weight: 3.09 kg and 49 cm long. Borned on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 3:15 AM. She’s a Leo and her chinese zodiac is rooster. The baby looks like her mom when she was a baby. Oh, I must find Sofi’s baby picture and I will put their pictures side by side. Should be very cute.
She’s breathtaking creature and I just wanna explode with joy.
May you be a shalehah child. 4JJI bless you always.
I wrote this right after I got home from hospital. Man…..I’ve got a beautiful niece and I’m an aunt now!

(taken on my graduation day) Now, I have a step mom, a younger step sister and a step brother (Ika & Gana). They are very nice. Ika is studying in nurse school, and Gana is working as a police officer. I hope our new family lives in harmony and happiness. I live in West Jakarta.
My father is dr. R. Prasaja MSc, my mother is dr. Anizar Sofian. I love my family. Sadly, my mom passed away on November 07, 2003 because of her illness. May Allah bless her soul.
I like cooking, exercising, and travelling. I like having good meals. I also love to watch movies and listen to music.
Although I entered the college on September 1995,I graduated from Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi IBiI on January 2002 with GPA 3.82 (cum laude). It was because I have worked since June 1999 and neglected my final paper for awhile.
The graduation ceremony (November 23, 2002) was one of my happiest moments.
(taken on 2004 Ied Fitri)
I have been practising Tae Kwon Do since 1990 and currently I hold 2nd degree black belt. I was a silver medalist for PON 1996. Together with my sister, I teach elementary and high school students. I proud of my students, especially who are in elementary school, they won several medals in championships. I joined WILMAN Club since two years ago and became one of the instructor.
My current job enables me to go abroad and meet new friends from other countries. Working as a marketing executive in a medical equipment company is very different from marketing staff in other companies. I must study human anatomy, diseases related to specific anatomy, technology used for treating the respective disease, how to operate machine we are selling, and their benefits and advantages. I have to know my market situation, my target market, promoting the machine and its technology, do presentation and negoatiation, schedule and manage my time in order to meet the dead line.
My specialization is surgical equipments, focus on neurosurgery and gastrointestinal tract.
Most of the product training is conducted overseas and I LOVE it! Why? Just look into my photo albums and you’ll know…….
Well……..That’s it for now.
